Flowers From Strange Fruit
Flowers From Strange Fruit is a site-specific photographic installation that reclaims the historical imagery of Black bodies and trees, transforming symbols of racial terror into spaces of honor, beauty, and survival. Printed on organza and affixed to trees, the portraits echo the protest song Strange Fruit while reframing its legacy through resilience and renewal. The work invites viewers into a contemplative encounter with Black presence, memory, and the ongoing transformation of pain into possibility.
